That’s not referring to the current lockdowns or the mask- and jab-mandates. It’s much more than that. It’s an ideological agenda.
No education is value-neutral.
Education is a political game.
Governments around the world use their school systems to raise up whatever the ruling party of the day views as their ‘ideal citizen’. They want loyal voters who will perpetuate their rule and power. They claim to celebrate diversity, but in reality, they want everyone to think the same and believe what they believe.
Gatto also wrote: “Mandatory education serves children only incidentally; its real purpose is to turn them into servants.”
The current crisis has forced many citizens to ‘wake up’ to this agenda. You no longer want to be part of the mass mind that has been colonised by the system. You are challenging the ‘single source of truth’, you are modelling ‘informed choice’, and by your actions, you are teaching your children to ask questions instead of merely repeating prescribed answers.
Even so, you need HOME EDUCATION much more than your children!
If you think it’s too hard to take charge of home education yourself, if you think that only professional teachers are experts, if you think that government knows what children should learn then that’s exactly why you need to do it.
This is as much about you breaking free of the conditioning and the mindset that was deposited into you by your schooling as it is about setting your children free from that one-track system of control.
You can’t now hire an “Egyptian” and expect a different outcome.
As scary as the unknown path ahead might seem, your emancipation requires that you take a journey you’ve never been on before. You have to take a different route to a new destination where there is freedom from ‘slavery’, and recovery from the mentality of incompetence and dependency on so-called ‘experts’, which is the thinking the system relies on to perpetuate.
Home education not only builds your confidence and competence but it takes you to a refreshing oasis of ideas where you consider the kind of citizens you’d like to raise and the goals you have for each of your children. It encourages both INDEPENDENCE and local COMMUNITY COLLABORATION. It stimulates you to think of new paradigms for all spheres of society.
