GED® Success Stories
I completed my GED® and SAT in December 2015. I worked as an au pair in Switzerland and Belgium from 2016-2019. A high school diploma was required for work visa purposes in both countries.
I was accepted to study at three institutions in NZ in 2020: Massey University, Auckland University of Technology and Unitec. I chose to study a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) degree at Massey University. I am now employed in marketing at Air New Zealand.

Kayleigh completed the GED and the the SAT.
For admission to a degree in Communication Design, she also needed a portfolio of artwork.
Besides one year of tuition with an art teacher in her early teens, she was home educated and her art was mostly self-taught.
Her applications were accepted by all 4 institutions to which she applied: University of Auckland, NMIT, Unitec and AUT, which is where she chose to study, starting in 2022.
My son, Zac, sat the GED and SAT (including two subject tests) in 2018 and was admitted to Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) at Auckland University. He is currently in his second year. It was a wonderfully flexible option for us.
I would highly recommend the SAT/ACT + GED option to university-bound homeschool highschoolers.
I should add that back in 2018 I helped another student use this option and he was offered places in both Biomedical Science and Engineering at Auckland University. Another student, daughter of a close friend, is taking this path this year too.

Justin’s Remarkable Journey
“I chose GED because it was what I needed to get into animation school.
The GED® prep was amazing! It was easy to progress through and really helped me prepare for writing my GED®.” ~ Justin Meyer, May 2020
After his GED, Justin completed a course in online animation studies at AnimSchool. Then, in 2021, he moved to Ohio in the USA and enrolled in Shawnee State University’s nationally ranked gaming engineering technology programme, where he earned academic honours on the President’s List. This requires achieving a minimum of a 4.0 grade point average. During his final year, he spent the last four months applying his skills as a student employee at the Ohio Technology Consortium (OH-TECH). During this time he single-handedly created a “Universe of Opportunity,” a virtual reality experience that offers tours of Ohio’s two- and four-year colleges, universities and technical centers.
John Strawn, communications manager at OH-TECH, who supervised Justin’s work on the VR experience is clearly extremely proud and impressed by his student’s work and what it achieves for the university: “The VR experience we showcased at the Ohio State Fair not only highlighted the diversity of Ohio’s higher education landscape but also served as a case in point that students in Ohio can directly contribute to impactful projects. Justin brought a maturity and professionalism to this project that was truly impressive. The level of commitment he demonstrated ensured that we could execute the VR experience at such a high level.”
The VR experience that Justin created was first introduced at the Ohio State Fair at the end of July. Strawn continued: “People at the fair were struck to learn that one student had done the work of an entire development team in just two and a half months.” Read the article that Ohio Technology Consortium published highlighting Justin’s remarkable achievement: Justin’s Journey
I have successfully completed my GED, thanks to the help of the online GED prep. My journey to completely my high school education has been quite tedious and I can honestly say that I could not have done it without Lime Feather Learning.
To anyone who is looking at using the online GED prep, it will be the best investment in yourself you could ever make. Thank you to all who helped assist me in completing my GED.

She is now all lined up to go to university if she wants (still deciding).

My daughter Alexandra did the GED®/SAT combo. She is studying Nursing in Australia with the goal to become a midwife.
She could have entered the Honours Program for Nursing/Midwifery from the start at ECU with the GED/SAT combo, but due to financial constraints we opted for the University Pathways program.
